When we established UEWS in 2014, we began with a simple conviction: that no child should be denied an education because of what their family can afford. That conviction still guides every decision we take.

Since then we have worked to put learning within reach — free books and uniforms for students who need them, scholarships for those who earn them, technical and computer training for young people entering work, and support for families facing illness, disaster or hardship. We do this without a single paid employee. What you see here is the work of volunteers who give their time because they believe the same thing we do.
